Filariasis Research Fourth Annual MiniCourse

Monday-Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
This 1-week course will consist of informal lectures, discussion periods, and wet labs. Days are split between lectures and labs that cover the biology of filarioid nematode parasites and the Brugia life cycle, molecular methods used in filariasis research, and bioinformatics.
Course faculty include: Dr. Ray Kaplan, Dr. John McCall, Dr. Mike Dzimianski, and Dr. Prasit Supakorndej (University of Georgia); Dr. Steven A. Williams and Sue Haynes (Smith College); Dr. Shelly Michalski (University of Wisconsin Oshkosh); Dr. Pat Lammie (Centers for Disease Control)
Attendees will receive a certificate of participation for the course. There is no cost for the course, but participants are responsible for their costs for travel, hotel accommodations, and meals.
